Where is it?
Find it on [multimap.com] or [streetmap.co.uk].
Don't worry, it's not in the Cotswolds! It's off Cotswold Way in Tilehurst. And as you can see from the map, it's not very far from [Denefield School] - another match venue. Either head along the A4 - Bath Road and weave your way northward past Prospect Park or Calcot Park. Or head along the A329 - Oxford Road and hang a left at the roundabout, down Overdown Road, before Purley.

What's it like?
Oldish sports hall with four (or is that three?) badminton courts and a solid floor. The lighting at first makes it all feel very yellow, but you get used to it. I'm sure the walls used to be yellowish as well, but when we were last there they had been painted blue - much better. Visibility is ok, with the shuttle only getting lost once or twice in a light. The floor was a bit dirty, but there was not too much of a problem with grip. A reasonably mild day in January and the hall was appropriately mild also - able to work up a good sweat! A reasonably good venue.
Nearest Pub
The Royal Oak in Tilehurst - you'll have to ask Nigel; it's his local! Nice place; friendly folk. Although the burnt out shell of a car that had been left ablaze in the pub car park at 4am was unfortunate! [More: Dales World]
